Their mission in life is to increase the knowledge of pain and to reduce pain-related suffering. The APS envisions a world where everyone has access to pain prevention and relief. They consist of a diverse group of scientists, clinicians, and other professionals. The APS value leadership: Research, Education, Policy, and Practice, Intergrity and Ethnics, Objectivity, Intergration, Interdisciplinary, and Diversity.
